Biographical Summary:

Dr. Frederick L. Brancati is a Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins, Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine, and a member of the Active Staff of Johns Hopkins Hospital. The author of over 175 peer-reviewed scientific papers, he is an internationally recognized expert on the epidemiology and prevention of type 2 diabetes and related conditions.

Dr. Brancati has also won teaching and mentoring awards from medical students, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows at Hopkins and holds a K24 grant from NIDDK to support mentorship in patient-oriented research in diabetes.
